Very good player but hasn't once been 1st team All-Pro
Has been 2nd team twice.
Compare that to some safeties that are on the verge of getting in (John Lynch, Darren Woodson, Brian Dawkins) and some guys who will definitely make it in when eligible (Ed Reed, Troy Polamalu) and his credentials just don't match up at his position. Even fellow Seattle safety Earl Thomas has been a four-time first-team All-Pro.
I know it's more than just NFL All-Pro honors, but that's a pretty good starting point. And I write this fully acknowledging that his career isn't over yet.
