Isn't the criteria for selecting the match-ups based on where

the teams finished in the conferences last year? At least I thought if an ACC wants to participate then it must finish in the Top 14 since the ACC has 1 more school than the Big Ten. A secondary criteria may be whether the team was home or away last year, but for some reason I thought either Duke or Michigan State ended up playing back-to-back away/home games over a 2 year period.
