NO IT IS NOT. It was ALWAYS about 2017. Never said otherwise.
Those programs on VT's scheduled practically ALL overperformed in 2016 to have better than usual records, including Clemson obviously. But, none of those were the norm. 4Ws is above the historic average for Duke. ODU's not a 10 win team, even in a garbage league and division. Pitt's OK, I guess, but they've lost their best players. UNC lost the number 2 draft pick at QB, not that they were all that good anyhow.
Anyhow, I was always talking 2017. The 2017 schedule of Tennessee is FAR better than ours. Let's consider where those teams usually rank as far as wins and losses. Clemson's good, but they're pretty much in the same ballpark as LSU and UGA. UNC is nowhere near either. Pitt is usually inferior to USCE. Duke is lucky to be equal to NW. The rest is meaningless garbage teams who's records are meaningless.
The 7th home game IS worth millions of dollars too.
