No, the BE was wrong to focus on hoops. Those were two different eras. Early 80s focus on hoops was a brilliant move by The Goose. It created modern day hoops coverage. BE hoops on ESPN and SEC expansion to 12 teams are the two greatest marketing ideas in modern sports.
