Not sure I agree with that analogy


First knowing your worth should not be a factor here. Buzz -for reasons I don't really understand- has stated money is not an issue and basically has no interest in a raise. So knowing his worth should not even be a consideration in his plans.
Other problem is that unlike working in the finance field, there is a significant downside to exploring jobs in the world of college coaching. The biggest factor in a coach's success is recruiting and it hurts your recruiting ability to be known as a coach always looking at other opportunities. You think thats not used against coaches by the opposition? It is and it should be.
So my feeling is that if a coach is flirting with other jobs, he either a) wants a raise and/or b) wants to move on to a better opportunity. Buzz has eliminated a) and he has no agents or handlers to push that off on. Looking just to look has no positive outcome
