your presumption assumes the following:
1. That, most importantly, Jerod won't catch on with a team and have a strong NFL career.
2. He would not have suffered some catastrophic injury in his senior season.
3. VT would not have had a terrible 2017 and his stock drop as the starting QB.
4. He would not have regressed and possibly been replaced as the starting QB.

I think we could all do with a dose of humility when it comes to evaluating others' decisions.
