Many of you have received aggressive pop-up takeover ads on your mobile devices, which for our purposes includes cell phones and tablets. These ads say you have won Wal-Mart or Amazon gift cards. DO NOT INTERACT WITH THESE ADS. The ads are impossible to close and back out of, and you have to shut down the browser and restart.

To our knowledge, these ads are only served on our message boards, and not on our home page, articles, etc. Let us know if you experience anything different.

We do not approve of these ads, of course. They are being served from a large ad network (we currently use two networks for ad serving), and finding them and stamping them out can be problematic and difficult.

We consider this situation to be our #1 priority at the moment, and we are working on eliminating the problem ads. Please be patient with us, and provide information when you can (where on our site you encountered the ad, what device you were using).
