I do think most of the Top Whatever is probably pretty accurate because all the writer's get plenty of writing material. After the Top Whatever, I am not sure how much of an effort is placed on the other recruits. A few years ago I remember seeing USC targeting a 2-star recruit. I found it odd because...well....it is THE USC. When I looked at the recruits profile, I noticed the intangibles were similar to a 4-star recruit that USC was also recruiting.
