Nobody is going past 16, that's for sure, so about all it would mean is the whole situation forcing ND's hand in football, and the Pac 12, Big 10, SEC and ACC picking up pieces of the Big 12.

Then, what do you really have? 8 conferences of 8 teams, with a yearly scheduling agreement for a couple games with your namesake partner, i.e. SEC East and SEC West.

But if they get serious about revenue optimization, and start culling the dead weight . . . . . then it could get juicy.
