I think we are witnessing a little back lash from the 700 or so Hokie Club members who had contributed over 100K and were told they would have seats for as long as they lived with just giving a $500 donation and the cost of the ticket. The administration said that the deal they gave those folks the last 20 years or so no longer applies. The administration said they expected that there may be a decline initially, but in the end the revenue increase was worth doing it and they believed that any decline in attendance would be temporary. Time will tell. A lot of those people are still really ticked off and have stated they will not attend any game again and will not contribute.
