Vick is being inducted into the Virginia Tech SPORTS Hall of Fame. This is all about his accomplishments on the field, which were unparalleled in VT football history. This is not a referendum on whatever he did beyond his days in Blacksburg.

Nobody condones Vick's actions with the dogfighting. But he paid an extremely steep price for it, fully admits his guilt, seems very contrite, and appears to have completely turned his life around.

I get it: some folks are NEVER going to let this go. Fine, that's their opinion. But VT shouldn't have to apologize to those people for inducting someone into its sports HOF.
