We have made headlines once again because of a Vick family member. Wake up AD/President - the Vick name is a stain on our university - stop mentioning it. The kid was a good ball player but a horrible human being. He did his time but will forever be remembered as the guy who abused/tortured/killed dogs for his own personal gratification. Drugs, stupidity, culture, or any other reason is not an excuse to put this guy into the Hall of Fame. Hall of Shame? Yes, but not someone to be honored by my university. It's like we are seeing the PSU crowd say that Paterno was a great guy - no, he was a great coach but a horrible human being. We are no better than PSU for taking this so-called honor forward. Future VT Hall of Famers will most definitely think about honoring this guy and themselves on the same basis. At least I hope that future HOFers won't lower themselves to the same standard.
