Toured Wisconsin facilities a couple of years back.
Everything - practice facilities, training rooms, locker rooms, huge academic support facilities, lounges with TVs and video games, etc. - all in one spot. It seemed possible to be a Wisconsin football player without ever even setting foot on the rest of campus. I assume it's this way at Tech and everywhere else. But it did seem like a line has been crossed. If playing college football means scarcely interfacing with the actual college, is it really "college football" any more?
