Two things I learned last night - Jackson and Slye
JJ was pretty wild the first 2 qtrs but seemed to settle down later and seemed more accurate. His running reminded me of Evans somwhat.
I feel like Joey Slye should not attempt an FG beyond 30 yds. Missed on 32 and 38. They were close, but those were on short yardage 4th downs and if he is likely not going to make those, then just go for it on 4th down. I think that misses are demoralizing and can change momentum more than an incomplete pass.
Per others' comments below, Fuente's TO could have affected Slye's mindset as well. [Post edited by reconhokie at 09/04/2017 01:19AM]
