Observations I haven't seen mentioned much from last night

Reggie Floyd played a heck of a game, I don't recall him missing any tackles or giving up any completions. He also had a huge deflection in the first quarter to stop a big play.

Divine Deablo stepped up huge, played great for the entire 4th quarter when Edmunds went out. Also, clear to see why he's on defense now (after that almost pick).

McClease is probably the best natural RB we've got, harder to bring down than TMac and shiftier than Peoples. He's going to put a poor linebacker in a washing machine at some point this year and I can't wait to see it.

The entire oline played well, albeit against a 3 man front. They picked up exotic blitzes well and there was no revolving door on the right side.

Mook has more swag in his pinky than most teams we play. Some people may not like his jawing after plays but I personally think that's been missing from VT defenses in the past.

Settle takes up 3 blockers, double teams can't stop him.

Tremaine needs to be blitzing, he looked a little lost last night in zone. He needs to be going downhill to make plays.

James Clark can fly, looks like he's moving in slow-mo with those long strides but he's got the afterburners. Way better option than Henry at KR.

Surprised we rarely saw Kumah, Savoy looks dependable but he's used to HS competition that he can out-athlete, dances a lot.

Jackson makes some of the best running reads I've seen from a VT QB. Love him on the jet sweep triple option-type play, don't think any of those got blown up. On the other hand he's going to have to work on progressions against more standard defenses, missed some wide open guys.
