Excellent topic

I could not agree more with both I Love VT! and Cactus Jack. There are some decent avenues for Season Ticket Holders (STH) to get their tickets to others when they can't attend (ex. Hokie Share Hoops) but it does take a concerted effort by the STH. What if VT created an incentive based on a percentage of times their season tickets are scanned at the gate (read: actually used) during a given season? An example might be 75% use equals one additional point in the priority system. Ways to expand the audience of users might be the "adopt a student" approach or maybe each STH develops a pool of potential attendees on their own. I have been able to cultivate a group consisting of students, locals and buddies in RKE that will use my tickets for nearly every game that I can't attend. It takes some effort but is well worth it to know that my tickets don't just sit in the drawer at home. I do think there are some creative solutions to this problem starting with VT making it a priority through messaging and possibly even setting a secondary pick up so that STH's could "turn in" their unused tickets so that students, faculty, VT employees could pay a small fee and go to the games on a first come, first serve basis. BTW - Several of these type ideas have been submitted over the years to the VT Athletic Admin. Thx
