Rumor I've heard is that Buzz had 1-2 transfers ready to sign here (Durham being one), but simultaneously was openly entertaining the Ohio State opening. Other coaches used that leverage to swing the players to commit elsewhere, saying that Buzz isn't committed to Blacksburg.

Now, the reality is I'm sure Ohio State was at least interested in Buzz, and he'd be dumb not to hear them out with their budget and resources. BUT, if he continues to do this every offseason (which so far seems to have been the case) it is going to create a reputation, deservedly so, that he has one foot out the door. His lack of an agent/representative compounds the issue because there isn't a middleman that can allow for some kind of subterfuge (Ohio State apparently openly sent a plane to Roanoke to meet Buzz because they couldn't go meet his agent). That's going to significantly hamper what's already a very difficult recruiting situation here at VT.

Anyways, wondering if you've heard anything similar. I love Buzz and what he's done for this program, and those people who somehow think we're better off without him are asinine. But it would be nice for recruiting, and my own comfort/anxiety, if he was a little more coy in his future intentions.
