The old logo being replaced isn't older than 10 or 12 years, and its certainly not universally recognized. Can you even draw it, if asked? I doubt I can. I know it had the pylons in the shape of a shield, and maybe 1872. It meant nothing to folks outside of VT and wasn't used on apparel anyway.
