Rewatching the game now...man, the start of the 2nd half was killer.


McMillian's fumble, followed by the failure to sack Bryant on 2nd and goal on Clemson's ensuing possession, crushed Tech's chances. If it were not for that series of events, Tech could have actually had a shot (even it it was small) at making this a game. Those two mistakes really put a dagger in VT, though.

As much as I like McMillian's skills, I tend to take a Tom Coughlin stance on protecting the football. There's no denying that fumbling is an issue with him, and blocking isn't exactly a strength for him, either. At this point, I think it's time to give the other guys more carries to see what they can do. I'm not saying Fuente should completely cast McMillian aside, but this team just isn't talented enough to overcome turnovers against good teams. I think the other running backs deserve some carries to see if they can provide a spark.
