Good, VT is officially under the radar.

Why do you read her stuff anyway?

No doubt VT isn't in her top 25, when the Coaches Poll, AP and ESPN all have VT around #17, and with one loss to the #2 team.

Is she really saying the teams on her list are likely to go unblemished the rest of the way? If not, then why not have VT on the list?

VT doesn't pass the eye test... didn't against Delaware or BC, and looking at a team that is very young doesn't generate any kind of confidence.

I always remember that 2004 season, where VT was picked to finish 6th in the ACC, but finished about #10 in the country... winning the ACC outright. The Hokies started off shaky going 2-2 with losses to Duke and NCSU (IIRC) and then rattled off 8 consecutive wins, with the defense becoming very stout by the end of the season. It wasn't until the GT game where VT really turned the corner on that season. That's hard to say because the following week VT got past UNC 27-24. Then the huge Thursday night game with UMD... 55-6. Confidence was growing with each additional win.

VT has looked a little shaky at times this season, but only one loss, to Clemson. We have also seen some scoring potential realized against ECU, and not realized against BC. If you think about it, the two games where VT underachieved on offense were after huge games.

I really don't care if VT is getting recognition or not... just being ranked for the first half of the season is recognition enough, and if VT keeps winning... it isn't likely we drop out of the rankings. We are watching VT grow up right before our eyes this season, similarly to the 2004 season. I know BR was a rSr QB, but we were going with a tFr. Eddie Royal.

Nobody gave VT much of a chance in 2004 either.
