Does the USM soccer team loss kill momentum in the US for the sport?
It really has become far more mainstream in recent years. While no one expected the US to win the WC, the lack of US presence in it ... that will hurt.
I don't know enough about soccer to understand why the US lost. The coverage I've read essentially calls the players lazy, and possibly spoiled though I'm not sure how as they aren't big deals in the US like players are in other countries. Anyone have insights? Is the US approach to soccer misguided?
