The whole concept of "the best teams" getting in is crap.

Just an excuse to let blue bloods in who couldn't win their conference. Does that mean you may have a 9-3/8-4 team get in once in a while? Sure, but if they don't belong then they will get eliminated quickly. Maybe their conference was super strong that year and everyone took losses whereas the other conferences were full of cupcakes with one decent team steamrolling them.
