Re: MVs only band director of 32 yrs to retire. I expect we'll get an
A positive view amongst many negative comments:
- 32 years is dedication/service no matter how you slice it. Let's congratulate Dave and not chastise him like less people would do.
- Think of the many student lives Dave was a part of and made better through their experience in the MV's. I have a Niece in the MV's now and a Nephew Alumn. Both appreciate Dave's leadership and commitment to VT.
- Don't judge when you don't know. My Daughter was a Marching Tarheel many years ago. She forgot her instrument to a Thursday night game at VT because she had a "few" things on her mind. Dave came to the rescue and got her a instrument. Good people have a way of rising to the occasion.
- It's always easy to judge when one is not involved in putting countless hours into practice, late nights, weekends, etc.....If you think you can do better, there is a opening......
