Is anyone else concerned about the comment from Fuente...

...that "our margin for error was so small." This comment after the game (on radio and on the VT sports today this morning) coupled with his thought that it would be good if this was a one possession game at the end, to me is troubling.

Now for risk of getting flamed out...I found the first three possessions on offense for both Clemson and Miami to be very troubling!

I think this gets to coach philosophy. They came into both games thinking that the other team (Clemson and Miami) had better talent. Perhaps they do. But we do not have to coach that way, being so worried about TO's that we dont' take chances!

Versus Clemson, the offensive philosophy early in the game (and even more so vs. Miami) was calling plays 'not to lose'. Many runs up the middle, jet sweeps into the strength of the defense (DLine) and no shots downfield. Then once they were down 14-0 last night, the playbook opened and we began to see some ball movement on offense, and also showing confidence in Josh's arm and the receivers to make plays to get open.

Finally, I see a difference in how this coaching staff approaches the beginning of games. Perhaps this could explain big 1st half deficits vs. ND, GT, Ark last year and Clemson, Miami this year.

My.02.
