I disagree on one point
We do need top-5 recruiting classes every year.
I've never believed the risk of job openings like Florida would come down to money, or prestige that other coaches earned, or "the SEC" or whatever else people come up with, it's recruiting.
Florida can offer a hot coaching name a recruiting strategy akin to fishing with dynamite. That's what we're up against with Mark Richt going forward, he has talent falling out of the sky.
What happens when a coach tires of having to rely on outcoaching and outscheming the big boys every single time? Some jobs can allow him to sometimes just throw meat at the problem like the top dogs do - we need to be able to offer a coach that. If it's even possible.
