Going into the game, Slye was 10% on 50+ and 29% on 45+
So I can understand the thought process. Both FG's would have been right at/around 50 yards so historically you could argue with Slye that it would have been anywhere from a 10-25% chance of connecting from that distance.
The issue I had with the decisions in this game were the fact that he successfully hit a 50 yard field goal early in the game and looked smooth/confident doing it. Again, I understand why Fuente went for it but after seeing Slye hit the first one and points clearly being hard to come by in this game, I would have given Slye at least a shot on that first one.
