No it wasn't obvious... and the playcalling wasn't much different


Than what we had done for much of the year. I think the playcalling is more a result in a lack of confidence we have in JJ and/or his surrounding cast. We're maxing out what we can do talent wise. And sometimes the way that manifests itself is with a very good record but getting blown out in the few losses due to being simply out-classed (as I think was the case in both games). When you're out-classed, it doesn't matter how bright the lights are or how "up" for the game you are.

The only way we were going to beat Miami or Clemson was for them to play a poor game and/or for a lot of bounces/luck to go our way.
