Grossly over-estimated by our fanbase IMO. There's been a lot of


discussion about this over on the pay board. Here are some numbers you may find interesting:

GT has had a lead, often significant, in the second half of 3 of their 4 losses this year.
UT: GT never trailed in regulation. Led by 14 in the 4th quarter (28-14) before losing in OT 41-42
Miami: GT never trailed until Miami FG with 3 seconds left. led by 11 (24-13) in the 3rd quarter. Lost 24-25.
uva: GT led 28-13 in the 3rd quarter, and 36-33 in the 4th quarter. lost 36-40.

Also, VT is 3-1 against Paul Johnson when trailing after 1 quarter, 1-1 when trailing after 2, and 2-1 when trailing after 3.

So while I agree in principle that the slow starts are a concern, I don't think they are any more of a concern against GT than any other team.
