their resume is fair - yes, a huge loss to Miami, and a 1-pt loss to UGa.

They beat BC, MichSt, USC, and NC State EASILY. Those games weren't even close.

Does ND have other competition at 8-2? Yes, and there are some teams with one or zero losses as well. But at the END of the season, the committee will look at the complete resume - they've said several times that this week's standings are not tied to last week's standings (ha!)

We can't speculate right now who's gonna beat who in Iron Bowl or SEC or B1G or ACC title games... but if those things DO happen, and ND is sitting right there at 6 or 7, all they hafta do is move up two spots while other teams ahead of them take a loss.

It can happen. Likely? probably not. But it can happen, and they played the games on their schedule, just like every one else. I don't like their Independent status either, but that's what we have here.

Ohio ST got in last year and didn't win their own division. Which is worse???
