I think the "it's only one loss" crowd is vastly underestimating...
...how damaging this loss probably is. If we want to be a team that plays in the NCAA tournament, we MUST take care of business in the early games of these tournaments. Consider last year, where we blew a huge lead to A&M and ended up having to play Nebraska instead of UCLA. That loss was so much more damaging than beating A&M and losing to UCLA, because playing UCLA would've been a huge RPI boost.
This loss may seem like "only one loss", but it was a bad loss, to a (seemingly) bad team. And it really stings way worse, because it is almost like 2 losses. That one game could legitimately cost us 20 or even 30 spots in the RPI come March. There's no way to polish that turd, unfortunately.
