Ten thoughts from a 10-Rolaids day.

1. My memory may be failng me, but was that our first game-winning goal line stand since the one in Morgantown many years ago?

2. Stro is probably the smallest player on the field but has the biggest heart. We will probably miss him more than any of the graduating seniors, what a playmaker he's turned into.

3. Nice to see McClease with such a productive day. Would like to see him rewarded with the start against UVA-C.

4. I know Bush isn't supposed to be able to throw the ball, but at some point he has to or there's no point playing him in anything other than short yardage situations. Looking at some of the shot-puts that JJ puts up, I have a hard time believing Bush could be that much worse.

5. There are too many plays where we have 2-3 OL standing around looking lost in space when the whistle blows. It's Newsome-esque. Not sure if it's a technique thing or an execution thing but we need more hat-on-hat action.

6. Kudos to Brian Johnson- did better than expected on KO's and was money on the short FGs.

7. Glad to see Cam get the career receving mark, he has definitely worked hard for it. But that drop on 4th down... ouch.

8. No more fades from JJ, please.

9. Benkert is probably the best pure thrower we've faced since Mountain Jesus. If our safeties continue to bite on play action, look out. Which leads to...

10.Not sure if Mook is hurt worse than anyone realizes, or if his fundamentals have just regressed. The last two weeks have been brutal, and we can't afford blown plays from the last man between the ball and the goal line. I'd rather see Floyd, Newsome, and Shegog get most of the snaps against the French.
