So the AMTRAK to Roanoke deal worked out very nicely!

I stayed at the new Hampton Inn and Suites on the Market in downtown Roanoke...which was a 3-minute walk from the AMTRAK platform. Yesterday...there were a bunch of kids from VT onboard...heading north to connect with families for the holiday.

Hoping AMTRAK expands the schedule next year to include a train that gets into Roanoke earlier then 9:50 pm on Friday...but I'll be a regular either way.
