We were 8 and 3 in the regular season with 3 losses by a combined total of 12 points, and of course, one of those was Temple, but you could just feel by seasons end that we were going to be special the next year. I even had the feeling right after a close loss to UVA by 4 points at home, and before the bowl win over Alabama which wasn't a great Bama team finishing 7-4 in regular season, but still a good one for VT. I'm hopeful next year is that 1999 type of year.
