Like, if we get beat 3-0 or 10-3, or something like that, yeah, it's obvious that most of the blame can be put on the offense. But many of the offense/defense debates that take place on this board are close games that are average in scoring. There's so many variables involved during the game, that there's no way that one can single out offense, defense, or special teams. And much of our fanbase gives Bud's D a pass, and I can understand this logic because of the historical performances of our D. But IMO, many times the D is undeservedly given a pass.
