Closer to home. More money. More prestige
Saban isn't going to coach forever either. Texas A&M recently did a massive upgrade to their facilities (including the stadium).
And by the way, when I mean more money, I'm talking going from $3.4 million here to potentially $6-7 million there. Also, there are rumors that Sumlin is going to be a candidate at Arizona State (a job expected to open within the next 48 hours). In other words, even should he fail at Texas A&M, he wouldn't kill his career or anything.
Did I mention it's closer to home for him?
If Texas A&M offers, he's leaving IMO. BTW, don't forget, Bud nearly left for Texas A&M about four years ago, he might just follow.
