Source: Fisher didn't tell players of decision
Players are frustrated that they didn't find out about Fisher's decision from the head coach.

TALLAHASSEE -- Florida State players did not officially know of Jimbo Fisher's decision to leave for Texas A&M before reports surfaced on websites and on social media, according to a source.

His abrupt resignation on Friday afternoon caught some close by surprise as they had not been told directly by Fisher.

"It's very disappointing," a source said.

Fisher had gone through the last week not commenting on his decision and asking players to "compartmentalize" their emotions and focus on Louisiana Monroe on Saturday at noon. He now will not coach the Seminoles (5-6) as they try to fight for bowl-eligibility with a win over the Warhawks.

Various players said this week that they were indeed trying to prepare for the upcoming game and try to help the Seminoles extend the bowl streak to a 36th season.
