25 years was a good run.....
and the parting was amicable. It really wasn't a case of Salem being held hostage for more taxpayer dollars but, the fact there were newer facilities and locations that offer a change of venue and MIGHT offer additional revenue opportunities for the NCAA. Salem has set the bar extremely high in terms of game operation and local hospitality. You will find a lot of people all across D-III sad to see the game leaving Salem. The City of Salem, Carey Harveycutter and the Civic Center crew and countless local volunteers are to be commended for a job well done!
