Taggart took over two programs (WKU/USF) in the dumps
...and turned them around. Actually, WKU wasn’t a turnaround because they had never won at FBS before he got there. He built what Petrino and the Brohm rode to better jobs.
Skip Holtz destroyed USF after Leavitt was pushed out. Taggart rebuilt them in 2 years.
His record is deceiving, look at what he built. He came from Stanford’s Man Ball Offense and created his own version of the “Gulf Coast Offense” to match his talent. A former HoF QB at WKU, he is a skilled offensive mind and one of the very best recruiting closers at HC.
It may be hard to replicate 83 wins, 3 ACC championships and a national title in 8 years like Jimbo, but he’s superior to Fisher in many ways. And he’s stepping into a team with top 5 talent for 2018.
