So that was a senior-laden OSU team capping off its third 10 win season
Biletnikoff Award winning senior WR, All-time record-setting senior QB, and another productive senior WR starter. By contrast, we roll into this game missing our all-time leading WR, one of our best OL, and a freshman QB surrounded by freshman WRs.
Frankly, it's surprising we outgained OSU and stayed in it until the end. It's a freaking miracle that we had two turnovers and stayed close.
The upside is that this is about as good as OSU has been or will be for a few years. That was it. The Hokies, on the other hand, were better in 2016 and should be better in 2018 (assuming JJ improves or we find someone else to take the snap).
I'm not predicting the future will be bright, but I am investing in UV-protective eyewear.
