Playoffs are soooo much better than what we had, right? BS! Let’s face it. There are upsets aplenty that demonstrate one plain and basic fact: Given the right circumstances, on a given day, the lowliest can beat the mightiest. Any one game demonstrates only one fact; who was better on that day. It does NOT demonstrate who was the best overall. Are Alabama and Georgia the best? Maybe, but Auburn beat them both. Doesn’t that make them the best? No, because they weren’t consistently the best. That’s what marks a champion, and the polls judged that as fair as anything. Ditch the freaking playoffs and go back to being judged each and every week. Nothing will ever be perfect, but it was as fair as anything we will ever have.
