1. Your team had an off night. It happens. Check out our game against Florida at the close of last year's NCAAs.

2. Williams will always keep Virginia Tech in the mix. Bennett may be a little ahead of Williams since Bennett has been in Charlottesville longer than Williams has been in Blacksburg (and thus has had more time, for example, to recruit and install systems), but Williams will get you there. Fantastic coach. I'm starting to like him better than I liked Greenberg, and I liked Greenberg a lot.

3. Virginia Tech will be going to the NCAAs again this year, just like last year. Williams is adept at making a team that's greater than the sum of its parts.

4. The ACC is a tough place to play basketball. I don't see a single team that can't beat any other team, and every match up I see looks like a dogfight.

5. Your guys never gave up last night, kept their heads up, and played hard till time ran out. You can be proud of them.
