You don`t get paid if you are not on a roster. Settle had the potential,if he returned,to improve his draft status into the top 2 rounds which would mean at least some form of guaranteed contract...guaranteed money for several years. In addition,as a rSo.,he is not close to earning a degree and,considering many have said he really dislikes school,there is little chance that he would return at some point to finish. I`m not saying he won`t make it. But,he is making a much riskier decision for his future by leaving now.
