I think that's a great idea for an OOC game or two each season

VT could play just about anybody in Richmond and I would make a point to see it. I would not want to take marquis ACC matchups away from the students & locals just for my purposes.

the main issue is needing to find a way to get tickets to students/locals that want them. biggest question for me on that front though, is there really an unmet demand for it? Are locals/students trying to get tickets but unsuccessful? I'm pretty sure CC has discussed just a general lack of interest from a large segment of the student population due to changes in generational priorities that I'm not sure VT can solve with easier access to tickets and/or sprucing up Cassell.

for me personally, it's a stage of life issue more than anything so not much VT can do about that. with 3 kids and the oldest at 7, it's hard to give up a weekend to go watch a basketball game. neither of the oldest 2 (5 & 7 YO) are interested in siting through a basketball game and no chance for the 2 YO. At some point they will be interested enough that I can take them or old enough where it's less of a burden if I leave the 3 kids at home with my wife for a Saturday.

I am going to see VT @ UVA because it's possible to do that up & back for an evening game whereas I cannot do that for games at Tech.
