The Group of 5 are in a subdivision controlled and run by the Power 5


They will never be treated equally or fairly in this arrangement. Their options are to either stick it out and hope you get an invite to the P5 in the future or drop down to FCS. They can't expect fair treatment in the current system. Never going to happen.
