We run sweeps a lot, and they're usually used as a decoy to get a DB or LB to bite and follow our WR to the edge...

BUT

we run the sweep before the snap, and (as rules dictate) our WR is moving away from the line of scrimmage. That leaves one of our players away from the ball, going backward, and not able to help block. So we basically have 10 players on offense.

Running it every once in a while is fine as a decoy, but we seem to do that every other play.
