Particularly guys like, say, Isaiah Ford or Tim Settle or Terrell Edmunds or maybe Jerod Evans who could have moved themselves up to a 2nd round pick with another year.

Getting picked in the first 2 rounds dramatically increases the money you will make early - and maybe more importantly, dramatically increases the liklihood of getting beyond the rookie contract into free agent money.
