Number one IMO is the inability to defend on the perimeter -- dribble penetration and three point shooting. A close second is laziness/carelessness with the ball resulting in a high number of unforced turnovers. Both are correctable but have been recurring issues for several seasons now. Is it the players, the coaches, the concepts (or lack thereof)? Whatever the cause they are inherent deficiencies that aren't getting corrected. And until they are VT can't elevate beyond middle of the pack and fighting on the bubble.
