Who will Bills get for QB?

Top guys won't go there: Garoppolo, Cousins, Brees, Eli off the list.

Bills have cap room. But if you carry alot of cap money you may be out as well. Taylor is $8M dead cap money. Smith will carry $18M, so that would be $24M total QB cap, a $20M salary. Not sure I see bills spending that on a guy who isn't a franchise QB. The Bills may be capable of talking themselves into this. The GM said he will get a f-QB, the coach desperately wants someone other than TT. The OC will do whatever he is told.

Bridgewater, Bradford if they can work out well may be a possibility.

Top draft picks likely to not want to play for Buffalo Bills. They can't get an OC. Last idiot was best McD could do, this time he may not have even called his NFL candidates. This OC did a terrible job developing the offensive talent at Alabama. Not clear he is the right guy for a rookie QB. Their offensive line is porous (min 4 QB concussion protocols last year). Their WRs are awful and they spent money replacing Sammy with big guys who can't get open on decent CBs, safeties. If they trade some picks to draft high there is a good probability of a high profile rejection.

I actually believe drafting Lamar Jackson is their best bet. Likely available only costing one draft pick. Lamar could play behind Taylor, Bridgewater with some degree of consistency in approach. But I don't get the sense this is the way (mobile, non-timing approach to QB play) McD wants to go.

Smith gets a ton of dough from Buffalo, or they do a deal with an injured Minn guy, and use a high draft pick.

Waaaaay too stupid and risky to trade up and draft a "franchise" QB, even though that is what Pegula the wildcatter would probably prefer.
