Really not the point though -- my main point, it's a bit harsh to question somebody's intelligence, just because they enjoy the college atmosphere, and their teammates, and the campus. The OP could've picked a better word.
Different people make different choices. Money isn't always the #1 factor. Does that mean they're stupid?
Some people join the Peace Corps, instead of accepting $145k jobs in Chicago. Should we question their intelligence too?
