Doesn't prove he could have gotten those jobs because we don't know how


he interviews. Bud didn't have to interview for VT with Frank at the helm. Guess he kind of did with Fuente but my impression of that was Fuente had to convince him to stay on instead of retire. Don't know, easily could be incorrect, just going with the gut.
